About the Role
Federal University Lafia, a dynamic institution established in 2011 to expand access to quality higher education in Nigeria, is currently seeking a dedicated and academically driven Assistant Lecturer in Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging undergraduate lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory sessions in Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry.
- Assist senior academic staff in the development, review, and updating of curriculum and course materials.
- Conduct high-impact research, publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to the university's academic reputation.
- Supervise undergraduate student projects, assignments, and academic research activities.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees, meetings, and community service initiatives.
- Perform administrative and academic duties as assigned by the Head of Department.
- Possess a good Bachelor's degree (Second Class Honours or higher) in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, or a closely related relevant field from a recognized tertiary institution.
- Must hold a Master's degree in Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry or a directly relevant specialization.
- Demonstrated potential for academic research and scholarly publications.
