We are currently looking for an Assistant Lecturer in Occupational Therapy within the School of Basic Medical Sciences to contribute to our vibrant academic community. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging undergraduate lectures, seminars, and practical laboratory sessions in Occupational Therapy.
- Design, update, and implement comprehensive course curricula in alignment with National Universities Commission (NUC) standards.
- Supervise undergraduate student research projects, fieldwork, and clinical placements.
- Conduct high-impact research, publish findings in peer-reviewed national and international journals, and secure research grants.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university committee meetings and academic administrative duties.
- Provide academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to students within the School of Basic Medical Sciences.
- Possess a First Degree with a minimum of a Second-Class Upper Division in Occupational Therapy or a closely related discipline.
- Alternatively, candidates with a Second-Class Lower Division First Degree accompanied by a completed PhD will be considered.
- Must hold a Master Degree in Occupational Therapy and show verifiable evidence of a PhD currently in progress.
- Demonstrate clear evidence of teaching aptitude, pedagogical skills, and research potential or prior academic experience.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills tailored for effective classroom instruction.
