Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University is seeking a passionate and qualified Assistant Lecturer to join our Department of Microbiology. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory sessions for undergraduate students in Microbiology.
- Design, update, and develop comprehensive course materials and curricula aligned with university standards.
- Supervise undergraduate research projects, laboratory assignments, and academic fieldwork.
- Conduct high-quality academic research and publish findings in peer-reviewed national and international journals.
- Participate actively in departmental meetings, faculty committees, and university community service initiatives.
- Provide academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to students to foster their holistic development.
- Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Microbiology or a closely related discipline from a recognized and accredited university.
- Demonstrated potential or proven track record in academic teaching and scholarly research.
- Membership in relevant professional microbiology or scientific bodies will be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong computer literacy and familiarity with modern digital learning management systems.
