We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Lecturer to join our Department of Nursing Science and contribute to our expanding academic programs.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in Maternal and Child Health Nursing to undergraduate students.
- Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and curriculum content in line with current nursing standards and university guidelines.
- Supervise student clinical placements, laboratory work, and undergraduate research projects.
- Participate in departmental meetings, academic advising, and student mentorship programs.
- Conduct relevant research and contribute to scholarly publications in nursing and healthcare education.
- Assist in the administration of examinations, grading, and student performance evaluations.
- Possess a minimum of a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Nursing Science with a specialization in Maternal and Child Health Nursing or a related field.
- Current and valid practicing license with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
- Demonstrated experience in teaching, lecturing, or clinical instruction within a tertiary institution is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse academic environment and mentor young healthcare professionals.
