About the Role
Greenland University, Jalingo, the premier private university in Taraba State founded by Senator Sani Abubakar Danladi under the motto "Knowledge for Self-Reliance," is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Assistant Lecturer in Information Technology. Located in Jalingo, Taraba State, our institution is committed to academic excellence, innovative research, and producing industry-ready graduates. We are currently expanding our Faculty of Science and Computing and invite qualified academics to contribute to our vibrant learning community.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging undergraduate lectures, seminars, and practical laboratory sessions in Information Technology and related computing courses.
- Conduct high-quality academic research and publish findings in reputable, peer-reviewed local and international journals.
- Supervise undergraduate student projects, research dissertations, and academic mentorship activities.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings, and faculty committees to enhance academic standards.
- Provide administrative and academic support for department-level accreditation and community service initiatives.
- Possession of a Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely relevant field from a recognized institution.
- Must provide verifiable evidence of ongoing PhD registration.
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
- Author of at least 2 peer-reviewed journal publications in recognized academic outlets.
- Demonstrable high-level ICT proficiency and active membership in relevant professional bodies.
- Compulsory possession of an NYSC discharge certificate or valid exemption certificate.
