About the Role

We are currently looking for a dedicated Assistant Lecturer in Forest Resources and Wildlife Management within the Department of Agriculture to inspire the next generation of environmental and agricultural leaders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging undergraduate lectures, seminars, and practical laboratory or field sessions in Forest Resources and Wildlife Management.
  • Supervise undergraduate student projects and provide academic mentoring and career guidance.
  • Conduct high-quality, peer-reviewed research and publish findings in reputable local and international academic journals.
  • Assist in the development and continuous improvement of departmental curricula and course materials.
  • Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees, meetings, and community service initiatives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and industry stakeholders on environmental conservation and wildlife management projects.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Forest Resources, Wildlife Management, or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution.
  • Must have a PhD currently in progress with documented evidence of strong research potential and academic publishing.
  • Must possess a First Degree with a minimum of a Second-Class Upper Division, or a Second-Class Lower Division with a completed PhD.
  • Demonstrated prior experience or clear potential in teaching, academic instruction, and student assessment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong commitment to academic integrity and professional ethics.
