About the Role
Federal University Lafia is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Lecturer to join our Department of Entrepreneurial Studies. Established in 2011, our institution is committed to expanding access to quality higher education and fostering innovation and economic development in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering engaging academic content, mentoring students, and contributing to the vibrant intellectual community of our Nasarawa State campus.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality lectures and facilitate interactive seminars in Entrepreneurial Studies for undergraduate students.
- Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and curriculum components aligned with modern business practices.
- Assess student performance through well-designed examinations, assignments, and continuous evaluations.
- Provide academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to undergraduate students.
- Engage in departmental research, academic publishing, and community development initiatives.
- Participate in departmental meetings, faculty committees, and university-wide academic events.
- Must possess a good Bachelor's degree (Second Class Honours or higher) in Entrepreneurship, Business Administration, or a closely related relevant field from a recognized institution.
- Must hold a Master's degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited university.
- Demonstrated potential for academic research and teaching excellence in tertiary education.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in modern educational technology and learning management systems is an added advantage.
