About the Role
Federal University Lafia is seeking a dedicated and qualified Assistant Lecturer specializing in Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) to join our esteemed College of Medicine. Established in 2011, our institution is committed to expanding access to quality university education and advancing medical research in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in delivering exceptional academic instruction, mentoring undergraduate medical students, and contributing to the vibrant intellectual community within our Lafia campus in Nasarawa State.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical training in Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) to undergraduate medical students.
- Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and curriculum content in alignment with national educational standards.
- Assess and evaluate student performance through examinations, quizzes, and clinical practical evaluations.
- Participate in departmental meetings, faculty boards, and university committees as assigned.
- Engage in impactful academic research and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Provide academic advising, guidance, and mentorship to students to support their professional growth.
- Possess a good second-class honours Bachelor's degree in a relevant medical or health sciences field from a recognized institution.
- Hold a Master's degree in a relevant discipline pertinent to Ear, Nose and Throat studies.
- Demonstrate a strong passion for teaching, academic research, and medical education development.
- Possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Membership in relevant professional medical or academic bodies will be an added advantage.
