About the Role

We are currently seeking a dynamic and qualified academic professional to fill the role of Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Nursing Science within the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences. Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory sessions for undergraduate Nursing Science students in accordance with university standards and the National Universities Commission (NUC) guidelines.
  • Conduct high-quality academic research and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed local and international journals.
  • Supervise undergraduate student research projects, dissertations, and clinical placements.
  • Participate actively in departmental meetings, curriculum development, student academic advising, and general administrative duties assigned by the Head of Department.
  • Maintain professional clinical competencies and collaborate with healthcare partners to enhance community outreach and practical learning experiences.
Qualifications
  • Possess a relevant first degree and a Master's degree in Nursing Science from a recognized and accredited university.
  • Hold a current registration and a valid practising licence with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
  • Demonstrate prior teaching, clinical, or academic research experience commensurate with the rank of an Assistant Lecturer.
  • Show evidence of ongoing or completed scholarly publications in reputable peer-reviewed academic journals.
  • Possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and student-mentorship skills with a passion for academic distinction.
