We are currently seeking a dynamic, dedicated, and academically inclined professional to fill the position of Assistant Lecturer in Cybersecurity. In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping the next generation of cybersecurity experts by delivering engaging lectures, supervising student projects, and actively participating in groundbreaking departmental research.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver comprehensive lectures and conduct practical lab sessions for undergraduate students in Cybersecurity and related courses.
- Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and curriculum in alignment with modern industry standards and academic requirements.
- Assess and evaluate student assignments, examinations, and projects, providing constructive feedback for academic growth.
- Engage in active research, publish scholarly articles in peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to the university's academic profile.
- Participate in departmental meetings, academic committees, and university events to support institutional goals.
- Mentor and advise students on academic performance, career paths, and professional development in the tech industry.
- Possession of a Master's degree (M.Sc.) in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field from a recognized and accredited university.
- Evidence of a strong academic background and demonstrated potential for excellence in both teaching and research.
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of relevant teaching experience at the tertiary level or equivalent professional industry experience in cybersecurity.
- Active participation and membership in relevant professional bodies and academic activities.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills with the ability to inspire students.
