The University of Benin (UNIBEN) is seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Lecturer to join our Department of Computing within the Faculty of Physical Sciences. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging undergraduate lectures, seminars, and practical laboratory sessions in Cyber Security and related computing disciplines.
- Develop and update curriculum materials, course outlines, and assessment tools in line with National Universities Commission (NUC) standards.
- Supervise undergraduate student projects, research assignments, and academic progress.
- Conduct high-impact research, publish findings in peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to the department's academic reputation.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university committee meetings as well as administrative duties as assigned.
- Engage in community service and industry partnerships that enhance the visibility and practical impact of the university's cybersecurity programs.
- Possession of a Master's degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field from a recognized university.
- Must have a PhD currently in progress, demonstrating a clear commitment to advanced academic research.
- Must possess a First Degree with a minimum of a Second-Class Upper Division (or Second-Class Lower Division with a completed PhD).
- Demonstrated evidence of teaching potential, pedagogical skills, and research capability through publications or conference presentations.
