About the Role
Mewar International University (MIU) Nigeria, the first Indian university established in Africa, is seeking a dynamic and qualified Assistant Lecturer in Biochemistry to join our esteemed faculty. Located strategically along the Abuja-Karu corridor in Nasarawa State, MIU is fully accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC) and committed to delivering skill-oriented, international-quality higher education. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in delivering engaging academic content, mentoring students, and advancing biochemical research within a multicultural learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory sessions in Biochemistry to undergraduate students.
- Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and curriculum content in alignment with NUC standards.
- Assess student performance through examinations, quizzes, assignments, and practical evaluations.
- Provide academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to students.
- Conduct independent and collaborative research leading to publications in peer-reviewed scholarly journals.
- Participate in departmental meetings, committee work, and university-wide academic events.
- Master’s degree in Biochemistry or a closely related relevant discipline from a recognized and accredited university.
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of Second Class Upper Division in a relevant discipline.
- A minimum of 2 scholarly journal publications in reputable academic outlets.
- Demonstrated strong teaching, communication, and interpersonal skills.
