As an Assistant Lecturer, you will play a crucial role in delivering engaging instruction, supporting curriculum development, and mentoring undergraduate students within our growing faculty.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and tutorials in undergraduate Arts and Social Science Education courses.
- Assess and grade student assignments, examinations, and projects, providing constructive feedback.
- Contribute to the continuous development and updating of course materials and departmental curricula.
- Conduct relevant academic research and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals to advance the department's profile.
- Provide academic advising, guidance, and mentorship to undergraduate students.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university committees and general academic administration duties.
- Possession of a good Second Class Honours Bachelor degree in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
- A Master degree in Arts and Social Science Education or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated potential for effective teaching, academic research, and scholarly publishing.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills suited for a higher education environment.
- Membership in relevant professional educational bodies will be an added advantage.
