About the Role

We are currently seeking a dynamic, passionate, and academically driven professional to join our expanding Faculty of Computing and Applied Sciences as an Assistant Lecturer in Artificial Intelligence. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering cutting-edge instruction, mentoring students, and contributing to groundbreaking research in AI and emerging technologies within a conducive academic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging undergraduate lectures, seminars, and practical laboratory sessions in Artificial Intelligence and related computing disciplines.
- Design, update, and evaluate course curricula, teaching materials, and assessment methods in line with modern educational standards.
- Supervise undergraduate student projects, research dissertations, and academic mentorship activities.
- Engage actively in scholarly research, journal publications, and grant applications relevant to Artificial Intelligence.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees, administrative duties, and community service initiatives.
- Minimum of a Master's Degree (M.Sc.) in Artificial Intelligence or a closely related field from a recognized and accredited university.
- Evidence of a strong academic background and demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching and research.
- At least 1-2 years of relevant teaching experience in a tertiary institution or practical industry experience in AI development.
- Active participation and membership in relevant professional bodies and academic associations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
