About the Role

Fountain University, established in January 2008 by the Nasrul-Lahi-Il-Fatih Society of Nigeria (NASFAT), is committed to the total development of students through high academic standards and Islamic moral values. We are currently seeking a dynamic and qualified Assistant Lecturer in Arabic and Islamic Studies to join our esteemed faculty. In this role, you will help shape the minds of future leaders in an enabling, faith-based academic environment focused on teaching, research, and community service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lectures and tutorials to undergraduate students in Arabic and Islamic Studies.
  • Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and curriculum content.
  • Assess and evaluate student assignments, examinations, and coursework constructively.
  • Conduct impactful academic research and publish findings in reputable journals.
  • Provide academic advising, mentorship, and guidance to students.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, university committees, and community service initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Possess a Master’s degree in Arabic Studies, Islamic Studies, or a closely related discipline from a recognized university.
  • Evidence of ongoing registration or enrollment for a Ph.D. program will be a distinct added advantage.
  • Demonstrated potential for scholarly research and academic publishing.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Alignment with the Islamic moral and ethical values of Fountain University.
