As an Assistant Lecturer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of medical practitioners by delivering comprehensive lectures, conducting innovative research, and mentoring enthusiastic undergraduate medical students in a vibrant academic environment located in Nasarawa State.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical training in Anaesthesia to undergraduate medical students.
- Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and curriculum content in line with national educational standards.
- Supervise student research projects, clinical rotations, and academic progress.
- Conduct high-quality research and publish scholarly articles in peer-reviewed national and international journals.
- Participate in departmental meetings, faculty committees, and university-wide academic events.
- Contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance processes within the College of Medicine.
- Must possess a good Bachelor's degree (Second Class Honours or higher) in Medicine or a relevant medical field from a recognized institution.
- Must hold a Master's degree in Anaesthesia or a closely related discipline from a recognized university.
- Demonstrated potential for academic research and scholarly publishing.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Membership in relevant professional medical or academic bodies will be an added advantage.
