About the Role
HBM Nigeria Plc (Formerly Lafarge), a leading name in building solutions across Sub-Saharan Africa, is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Assistant HR Business Partner, Commercial to join our team. In this role, you will partner closely with the HR Lead and commercial operations to deliver strategic HR solutions, foster high-performance teams, and support organizational growth in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Implement agreed HR plans aligned with Commercial, Logistics, and Procurement goals to enhance overall business performance.
- Partner with the resourcing team on recruitment campaigns, onboarding, and pre-employment checks to build high-performing teams.
- Coach and support line managers in performance management, talent reviews, and talent succession planning.
- Drive change management initiatives including departmental restructures, job role design, and operational efficiency projects.
- Collaborate with Learning & Development to close skill gaps and strengthen commercial excellence across the business area.
- Provide accurate HR data reporting and analysis covering headcount, organizational charts, and workforce metrics.
- Bachelor’s Degree in any relevant field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant HR Business Partner or generalist experience.
- Professional HR certification such as CIPM, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or HRCI is a strong advantage.
