About the Role

In this pivotal leadership role, you will oversee day-to-day operations, lead our innovative team, manage project implementation, and drive strategic fundraising efforts to achieve our organizational goals while adhering to the highest ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the timely preparation of budgets and financial reports in collaboration with the accounts team.
  • Research, strategize, and execute ethical fundraising campaigns targeting individuals, corporations, and foundations.
  • Assist in organizational planning, policy development, and the maintenance of administrative structures.
  • Oversee human resources functions, including timely recruitment to fill vacancies efficiently.
  • Schedule duties, supervise staff, and coordinate comprehensive training and induction programs.
  • Conduct monthly assessments, reviews, and implementations of approved child welfare and safeguarding standards.
  • Liaise with management and external consultants to monitor adoption and fostering matters.
  • Prepare and deliver quarterly member briefings and bi-annual board presentations.
  • Create annual project management calendars, monitor work hours, and manage project budgets.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Business Administration, Education, or a related discipline.
  • Advanced degree, MBA, or certifications in child welfare, non-profit management, or similar fields is a strong advantage.
  • 5 to 7 years of management experience in a social welfare organization, children’s home, educational, non-profit, or medical institution.
  • Proven experience in fundraising, grant writing, and donor relationship management.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team building and staff development.
  • Deep knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks affecting children’s homes in Lagos.
