About the Role
Qualis Business Support Services Ltd, a premier professional human resource service firm focused on capacity building and professional excellence, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant General Manager. In this pivotal leadership role, you will oversee day-to-day operations, lead our innovative team, manage project implementation, and drive strategic fundraising efforts to achieve our organizational goals while adhering to the highest ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise the timely preparation of budgets and financial reports in collaboration with the accounts team.
- Research, strategize, and execute ethical fundraising campaigns targeting individuals, corporations, and foundations.
- Assist in organizational planning, policy development, and the maintenance of administrative structures.
- Oversee human resources functions, including timely recruitment to fill vacancies efficiently.
- Schedule duties, supervise staff, and coordinate comprehensive training and induction programs.
- Conduct monthly assessments, reviews, and implementations of approved child welfare and safeguarding standards.
- Liaise with management and external consultants to monitor adoption and fostering matters.
- Prepare and deliver quarterly member briefings and bi-annual board presentations.
- Create annual project management calendars, monitor work hours, and manage project budgets.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Business Administration, Education, or a related discipline.
- Advanced degree, MBA, or certifications in child welfare, non-profit management, or similar fields is a strong advantage.
- 5 to 7 years of management experience in a social welfare organization, children’s home, educational, non-profit, or medical institution.
- Proven experience in fundraising, grant writing, and donor relationship management.
- Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team building and staff development.
- Deep knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks affecting children’s homes in Lagos.
