About the Role
AMO Farm Sieberer Hatchery Limited, a market leader in the Day Old Chicks industry, is looking for a dedicated Assistant Fleet Manager to support our growing logistics and transportation network. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring our commercial fleet remains roadworthy, cost-effective, and fully optimized to support our nationwide agricultural operations.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor daily vehicle availability, movement, operational status, and overall fleet utilization.
- Coordinate routine servicing, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance programs.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, repairs, fuel consumption, mileage, and associated operational costs.
- Ensure strict driver compliance with approved routes, safety procedures, and company policies.
- Oversee vehicle tracking systems to monitor routes and investigate unauthorized or unusual movements.
- Ensure all company vehicles are properly documented, licensed, insured, and compliant with regulatory standards.
- Liaise with external workshops, service providers, insurance companies, and vendors.
- Prepare regular analytical reports on fleet performance, fuel efficiency, and incident management.
- Bachelor Degree or HND in Transport Management, Logistics, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in fleet management, logistics, or transportation operations.
- Prior experience in agriculture, FMCG, manufacturing, or commercial fleet management is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in using fleet tracking systems and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
