About the Role
Ascentech Services Limited is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Assistant Financial Analyst to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting financial planning, reporting, budgeting, and comprehensive business analysis. The successful candidate will assist in analyzing financial data, preparing accurate reports and forecasts, and monitoring overall financial performance to drive informed business decisions across the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and detailed financial analyses.
- Analyze financial data, historical trends, and variances to identify business opportunities, operational risks, and areas requiring attention.
- Support the creation and ongoing maintenance of robust financial models and management reports.
- Monitor departmental expenses closely and assist in ensuring strict compliance with approved company budgets.
- Perform routine financial reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to ensure the absolute integrity of financial records.
- Gather, validate, and analyze financial and operational data in collaboration with various departments.
- Prepare professional presentations, dashboards, and reports for senior management review.
- Conduct relevant market, industry, and competitor research to support strategic business planning.
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree (BSc) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant professional experience in financial analysis, corporate accounting, or a related finance role.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy.
- Sound knowledge of core financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and fundamental accounting principles.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, data analysis, PivotTables, and dynamic reporting.
