About the Role
Olam Agri, a market-leading and globally recognized food, feed, and fiber agri-business, is looking for a dynamic Assistant Finance Manager to join our Integrated Feed & Protein business in Nigeria. In this critical role, you will manage financial operations, planning, and controls to ensure accurate reporting and strong financial performance supporting our large-scale agricultural and manufacturing objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain project capex trackers, monitor project expenditures, and provide variance analysis against approved budgets.
- Partner with Engineering and Procurement teams to ensure compliance with approval limits, Delegation of Authority, and capitalization policies.
- Manage plant accounting activities, lead month-end close, and prepare timely Management Information System reports.
- Lead inventory counts, reconcile variances, and monitor controls for aging, slow-moving, and obsolete stock.
- Coordinate fixed asset tagging, physical verification, transfers, capitalization, and disposals.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Must be a qualified member of ICAN (Chartered Accountant, Nigeria).
- 5 to 8 years of post-qualification experience within manufacturing, FMCG, agribusiness, or industrial operations.
- Proven hands-on experience in Greenfield or Brownfield project environments, Capex Monitoring, and Plant Accounting.
- Advanced proficiency in SAP S/4HANA (FI, CO, MM, Asset Accounting) and Microsoft Excel.
