About the Role
The Smitting Stone Academy, a reputable educational institution in Abuja, Nigeria, is seeking a dedicated Assistant Class Teacher to join our dynamic team. You will work alongside experienced class teachers to create an engaging, supportive learning environment where pupils thrive academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities- Support the class teacher in lesson planning and preparation of teaching materials
- Assist in classroom instruction and deliver lessons under teacher supervision
- Monitor pupils' progress and provide constructive feedback on their performance
- Contribute to effective classroom management and maintain a positive learning atmosphere
- Support pupils with special learning needs and provide additional academic guidance
- Participate in school activities, events, and pastoral care programs
- Maintain detailed records of pupils' attendance and academic progress
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to promote holistic child development
- Minimum OND, NCE, HND, or Bachelor's Degree in Education or relevant discipline
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong passion for working with children and commitment to their welfare
- Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and reliability
- Patient, compassionate, and positive attitude toward education
- Relevant teaching experience is highly advantageous
- Strong organizational and classroom management skills
