About the Role
Dragnet Solutions is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Chief Laboratory Scientist to join our team in Warri. In this senior role, you will play a crucial part in providing operational oversight, upholding rigorous biosafety standards, and mentoring junior staff to ensure exceptional service delivery across all laboratory processes.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs the Assistant Chief Laboratory Scientist, your day-to-day duties will include:
- Providing senior supervision of laboratory operations and supporting service leadership.
- Supervising laboratory testing and section work to guarantee high standards and efficient throughput.
- Managing staff rostering, workload allocation, and optimal skill-mix.
- Ensuring strict compliance with biosafety regulations, quality assurance, and audits.
- Supervising, supporting, and appraising junior laboratory personnel.
- Handling incident escalation and liaising with equipment vendors.
To be considered for this position in Warri, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS) from a recognized institution.
- Successful completion of the required national internship and NYSC, or a valid exemption.
- A minimum of 8 years of post-registration professional experience, including time served at Principal grade or an equivalent level.
- Strong expertise in multi-disciplinary laboratory practices and quality management systems.
- Demonstrated leadership, incident escalation, and staff appraisal skills.
