We are currently looking for a dedicated Assistant Chief Laboratory Scientist to join our esteemed team and provide exceptional senior supervision for our laboratory operations, ensuring adherence to the highest international biosafety and quality assurance standards.
Key Responsibilities- Provide senior supervision of laboratory operations, supporting the deputy and head in leading the service effectively.
- Supervise laboratory testing and section work to maintain high standards and optimal throughput.
- Support rostering, workload allocation, and strategic skill-mix management.
- Ensure strict biosafety compliance, manage audits, and drive quality assurance initiatives.
- Supervise, support, mentor, and appraise junior laboratory staff.
- Handle incident escalation and manage equipment and vendor liaison efficiently.
- Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS) from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 8 years of post-registration experience in the relevant profession, including proven experience at Principal grade or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of multidisciplinary laboratory practices and quality management systems.
- Demonstrated ability in staff supervision, rostering, and performance appraisal.
- Possession of specialty training or relevant professional certification is an added advantage.
