About the Role
The Oasis Schools, a well-established educational institution comprising crèche, primary, and secondary divisions in Ekpoma, Edo State, is seeking a talented and dedicated Arts Teacher. Since our inception in 2015, we have been committed to producing morally and academically sound scholars through dedicated teaching and a nurturing environment. We are looking for an innovative educator who can inspire our students, foster their creative potential, and contribute to our vibrant school community.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver engaging visual arts lesson plans aligned with the Nigerian and broader academic curriculum.
- Instruct students in various art techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and crafts, tailored to different age groups.
- Evaluate and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to encourage artistic growth and confidence.
- Organize school art exhibitions, displays, and cultural events to showcase student creativity.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized art studio environment while managing art supplies and inventory.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to integrate art projects with other subjects and school activities.
- Mentor pupils and students, instilling core values of discipline, creativity, and moral excellence.
- Possession of a relevant academic qualification (NCE, B.Ed, B.A., or B.Sc.) in Fine and Applied Arts or a related field.
- Proven teaching experience in an established school environment is highly preferred.
- Strong passion for teaching children and adolescents with a patient, nurturing approach.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment for diverse learners.
- Residency in or willingness to relocate to Ekpoma, Edo State.
