About the Role

Noble Guide Academy, a reputable faith-based co-educational institution with over 15 years of excellence in Abuja, is seeking a passionate, creative, and qualified Art & Design Teacher to join our primary school team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping young minds, fostering imagination, and instilling a lifelong appreciation for the arts within a nurturing Islamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate Art & Design lessons aligned with curriculum standards.
  • Introduce primary pupils to a diverse range of artistic techniques, mediums, and materials.
  • Cultivate a stimulating, inclusive, and visually inspiring classroom environment that encourages self-expression.
  • Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing constructive feedback to support individual artistic growth.
  • Organize student art exhibitions and collaborate with colleagues on school-wide cultural and creative events.
  • Maintain a well-managed art studio space, ensuring proper usage and safety of tools and supplies.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Fine Arts, Visual Arts, Art Education, Creative Arts, Design, or a related field.
  • Possession of a Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) is a strong added advantage.
  • At least 2 years of proven teaching experience in a primary school setting.
  • Prior experience teaching within a Cambridge Associate School environment will be an added advantage.
  • Strong practical artistic skills and proficiency in various creative techniques.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
  • Basic digital literacy and familiarity with digital design tools are advantageous.
