About the Role
IOTA Group is currently recruiting a skilled Marine Superintendence Services Personnel for our operations in Onne, Port Harcourt, Rivers State. This critical role provides expert marine operational support in accordance with international standards, company directives, and rigorous HSE guidelines, ensuring optimal safety and efficiency across all offshore and site activities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert marine operations support to drilling, projects, and production departments, serving as the authority in Dynamic Positioning (DP) operations.
- Supervise contractor compliance with company marine procedures, CMS, and HSE standards during vessel operations, cargo handling, and personnel transfers.
- Conduct OVID inspections, vessel audits, and comprehensive assessments of contracted vessels, crews, and safety management systems.
- Manage rig and barge moves, approve anchor patterns, and act as the designated company marine representative.
- Participate in incident investigations, lead Cause Tree Analysis (CTA), and monitor marine-related anomaly reports for corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the security department to manage operational matters concerning security vessels and fast crew boats.
- Valid Master’s certificate for seagoing vessels or unlimited Chief Engineer license, alongside a Bachelor’s degree in Nautical Science or Marine Engineering.
- Minimum of several years of experience in marine operations, rig movements, and serving as a Marine Warranty Surveyor or OIM.
- Must hold a valid OVID certificate and possess advanced multi-disciplinary expertise in Drilling, AHTS, MWS, and DP operations.
- Demonstrated experience in personnel logistics, emergency planning, marine risk analysis, and contractor technical evaluations.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and Microsoft Office proficiency, tailored for high-stakes offshore environments.
- Competitive rotational work schedule of 4 weeks on and 4 weeks off, operating 7 days per week.
