We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Area Sales Manager to lead our commercial operations across West Africa. In this strategic role, you will leverage your industry expertise to expand our market share, champion innovative engineering solutions, and deliver exceptional value to our esteemed clients throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities- Drive order intake, sales revenue, and profitability across assigned territories in West Africa.
- Develop and execute comprehensive local sales and business development strategies to capture market opportunities.
- Build and maintain robust relationships with key customers, OEMs, EPCs, and end-users.
- Lead tendering, proposal activities, contract negotiations, and project kick-offs in collaboration with support teams.
- Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and customer investment plans to maintain a competitive edge.
- Oversee end-to-end project execution from the initial tender stage through to financial closure.
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and detailed business reporting activities while ensuring full compliance with company policies.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a closely related technical field.
- Minimum of 10 years of proven sales experience within the pump industry or related heavy industrial sector.
- Strong technical proficiency in pumps, agitation, and compression technologies.
- Demonstrated experience utilizing CRM systems (Salesforce) and ERP platforms (SAP).
- Exceptional commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and a customer-centric mindset.
- Willingness and physical ability to travel frequently across West Africa.
- Full professional fluency in English with outstanding cross-cultural communication skills.
