About the Role

We are currently looking for a talented and motivated Area Sales Manager to join our high-performing sales team in Lagos, Nigeria. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in driving our commercial growth, expanding our market reach, and leading a dedicated team of sales professionals to achieve ambitious business targets within your assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve and exceed assigned revenue and volume targets.
- Lead, coach, mentor, and motivate the field sales team to deliver exceptional individual and collective performance.
- Manage daily sales activities, route planning, and market coverage across the designated territory.
- Monitor sales performance closely, analyzing market trends, competitor activities, and emerging business opportunities.
- Build, nurture, and maintain strong, profitable relationships with distributors, key retailers, and key trade partners.
- Ensure the seamless and effective implementation of trade marketing promotions and corporate sales initiatives.
- Track team KPIs, generate regular sales reports, and provide actionable insights to management.
- Identify new business opportunities, drive proactive territory expansion, and secure strategic accounts.
- Ensure strict adherence and compliance with company policies, operational processes, and safety procedures.
- Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma (BA/BSc/HND) in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven sales experience, preferably within the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) or consumer goods industry.
- Demonstrated success in managing, leading, and developing a high-performing field sales team.
- Strong working knowledge of modern territory management, route-to-market, and sales operations.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and modern sales reporting tools or CRM software.
- Willingness and readiness to travel frequently within the assigned territory.
