About the Role

We are currently looking for a results-driven and energetic Area Sales Manager to lead our commercial operations in Jos, Plateau State. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in expanding our market footprint, optimizing distribution networks, and steering our sales team toward unprecedented success within the territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to consistently achieve and exceed assigned revenue targets.
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and motivate the field sales team to deliver exceptional performance and professional growth.
  • Manage daily sales activities, route planning, and market coverage across the assigned territory in Jos and environs.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics, market trends, competitor activities, and emerging business opportunities.
  • Build, nurture, and maintain strong, mutually beneficial relationships with distributors, retailers, and key accounts.
  • Ensure the flawless implementation of trade marketing, promotional campaigns, and company commercial initiatives.
  • Track team KPIs, analyze data, and provide accurate, regular sales reports and actionable business insights.
  • Identify new business opportunities, untapped market segments, and drive aggressive territory expansion.
  • Ensure strict compliance with internal company policies, operational processes, and standard sales procedures.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 4 to 6 years of proven sales experience in the FMCG sector, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Deep understanding of the Nigerian retail and distribution landscape, specifically within the Northern region.
  • Exceptional leadership, team management, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in sales tracking software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
