About the Role

Lumos is revolutionizing energy access across Nigeria by providing clean, reliable, and affordable solar power to off-grid and on-grid communities. We are currently looking for a results-driven Area Sales Manager to lead our regional sales operations, expand our community partnerships, and drive customer acquisition and repayment collection.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the implementation of the company sales strategy within the assigned territory to achieve customer acquisition and repayment targets.
  • Lead, manage, and mentor a high-performing territory team, including Territory Managers and Lumos Community Partners.
  • Oversee end-to-end sales operations, ensuring seamless customer onboarding, product installation, activation, and adoption of company services.
  • Monitor daily and monthly sales figures against targets, prepare accurate reports, and provide strategic recommendations for growth.
  • Manage inventory, minimize bad debts through prompt payment enforcement, and promote premium subscription adoption among customers.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree in Management or related Social Sciences; an MBA is an added advantage.
  • 8 to 10 years of diverse sales and marketing experience, with at least 4 years in a middle management supervisory role.
  • Proven industry experience within telecom, microfinance, insurance, renewable energy, FMCG, or multi-level marketing.
  • Strong expertise in sales planning, forecasting, distributor account management, and business performance measurement.
  • Exceptional communication, conflict resolution, and leadership skills with deep knowledge of the Nigerian sales terrain.
