About the Role

We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Area Recovery Manager to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in Benin City. In this pivotal role, you will oversee and coordinate loan recovery activities across assigned branches, monitor portfolio performance, and implement effective strategies to minimize non-performing loans while ensuring strict adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise, train, and mentor field recovery officers to optimize team performance and drive recovery targets.
- Monitor credit portfolio performance, identify delinquent accounts, and conduct comprehensive risk analysis.
- Engage directly with customers to negotiate viable repayment arrangements and resolve complex default cases.
- Collaborate closely with branch managers to proactively prevent default and strengthen credit discipline.
- Review repayment plans, manage documentation meticulously, and prepare accurate periodic reports on recovery progress.
- Ensure all recovery operations strictly comply with ethical practices and Nigerian financial regulatory guidelines.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in loan recovery, credit administration, debt collection, or risk management within the financial sector.
- Strong understanding of microfinance operations, regulatory guidelines, and ethical debt recovery practices in Nigeria.
- Exceptional negotiation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills.
- Solid leadership abilities with a track record of supervising field teams and driving performance.
