About the Role
Sun King is the world's leading solar energy provider for off-grid homes, dedicated to powering bright lives across Africa and Asia. We are currently looking for a results-driven Area Business Manager to oversee our direct distribution operations, known as the EasyBuy business unit, in Yola, Adamawa State. In this pivotal role, you will lead a dedicated team of Energy Officers, drive sustainable revenue growth, and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction in the region.
Key Responsibilities- Recruit, train, and retain a high-performing team of at least 40 Sun King Energy Officers.
- Exceed ambitious monthly sales and collection targets established by the Regional Business Manager.
- Conduct regular field visits, joint sales calls, and market activations to drive team engagement and brand visibility.
- Implement robust field sales processes, ensuring timely customer collections and proactive default management.
- Provide world-class customer service by resolving product, delivery, and warranty issues within 24 hours.
- Manage marketing budgets and inventory efficiently to maximize return on investment.
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on sales and distribution experience, preferably in off-grid solar or FMCG sectors.
- Proficiency in computer applications, specifically Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proven track record in team coaching, relationship building, and stakeholder management.
- Deep understanding of the local territory, market dynamics, and customer behavior in Yola and surrounding areas.
