About the Role
Sun King is the world's leading off-grid solar energy company, powering over 82 million lives across Africa and Asia. We are currently looking for a driven and results-oriented Area Business Manager to lead our direct distribution operations in Takum, Taraba State, Nigeria, focusing on our Pay-As-You-Go EasyBuy business unit.
Key Responsibilities- Hire, train, and retain a high-performing team of at least 40 Sun King Energy Officers in the assigned territory.
- Drive sales and ensure timely, accurate collections while expanding our sustainable direct distribution network.
- Conduct daily and weekly field visits, joint sales calls, and market activations to support Energy Officers and drive customer engagement.
- Provide world-class customer service, ensuring all product delivery, installation, and warranty issues are resolved within 24 hours.
- Monitor local market competition and execute strategic measures to protect and grow the Sun King brand presence.
- Manage marketing expenses and inventory efficiently to maximize return on investment.
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in direct sales, field operations, or business development.
- Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong leadership, coaching, planning, and relationship-building skills.
- Extensive customer care experience with deep knowledge of the Taraba territory.
