About the Role
Sun King is the world's leading off-grid solar energy company, transforming lives by bringing reliable, affordable electricity to over 82 million homes across Africa and Asia. We are currently looking for a driven Area Business Manager to lead our direct distribution and EasyBuy operations in Idah, Kogi State, driving sustainable business growth and empowering local communities with clean energy.
Key Responsibilities- Recruit, train, and retain a high-performing team of at least 40 Sun King Energy Officers within your designated territory.
- Drive sales and timely collections to consistently meet or exceed monthly targets established by the Regional Business Manager.
- Conduct regular field visits, joint sales calls, and market activations to mentor Energy Officers and ensure operational excellence.
- Provide world-class customer service by ensuring prompt product delivery, installation, and resolution of customer inquiries within 24 hours.
- Monitor competitor activities in the region and implement proactive strategies to protect and expand Sun King's market presence.
- Manage marketing resources, inventory, and supply chain logistics efficiently to maximize return on investment.
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or equivalent professional qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in field sales, retail distribution, or business development.
- Proficiency in computer applications, specifically Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong leadership, coaching, planning, and relationship-building skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and deep familiarity with the Kogi territory.
