About the Role
Sun King is the world's leading off-grid solar energy company, providing reliable power to over 82 million customers across Africa and Asia. We are currently looking for a results-driven Area Business Manager to lead our direct distribution operations in Shendam, Plateau State. In this pivotal role, you will oversee our Pay-As-You-Go EasyBuy business unit, empowering communities by making clean energy accessible and affordable.
Key Responsibilities- Recruit, train, and retain a high-performing team of at least 40 Sun King Energy Officers to drive local sales and collections.
- Conduct daily and weekly field visits, joint sales activations, and market outreach to support the team and exceed regional targets.
- Manage end-to-end sales processes, including customer profiling, payment follow-ups, inventory control, and timely issue resolution within 24 hours.
- Monitor competitor activities, protect brand reputation, and expand our retail presence through effective cluster leadership.
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on sales experience with a strong understanding of the Shendam territory.
- Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional leadership, relationship-building, planning, and customer service skills.
