About the Role
Sun King is the world's leading off-grid solar energy company, providing clean, reliable electricity to over 82 million customers across Africa and Asia. We are currently looking for a results-driven Area Business Manager to lead our direct distribution operations in Daura, Katsina State, driving growth and ensuring sustainable access to solar energy.
Key Responsibilities- Hire, train, and retain a high-performing team of at least 40 Sun King Energy Officers to drive direct sales.
- Exceed monthly sales and collection targets established by the Regional Business Manager.
- Conduct daily field visits and joint fieldwork to mentor Energy Officers and ensure robust sales processes.
- Manage customer relationships, resolve service issues within 24 hours, and maintain high standards of customer satisfaction.
- Monitor local market trends and competitor activities to protect and grow the Sun King brand in the region.
- Optimize marketing and operational spend to achieve maximum return on investment.
- Degree in a business-related field or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 3 years of hands-on sales and distribution experience, preferably in off-grid solar or retail.
- Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional leadership, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
- In-depth knowledge of the Katsina State territory and local consumer behavior.
