About the Role
AVENTA is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Architect to support the design, planning, and supervision of architectural components for major water infrastructure projects across Nigeria. While we are renowned for making electric mobility accessible to everyone, our broader engineering initiatives also encompass critical public works and utility structures. In this pivotal role, you will play a central part in shaping sustainable infrastructure by designing functional and durable facilities such as water treatment plants, pump stations, reservoirs, administrative blocks, and control rooms.
Key Responsibilities- Develop comprehensive architectural designs, concept drawings, layouts, and specifications for water infrastructure facilities.
- Coordinate seamlessly with civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers to ensure fully integrated multidisciplinary project delivery.
- Supervise on-site construction activities and finishing works to guarantee strict adherence to approved designs and quality standards.
- Ensure full compliance with Nigerian building codes, urban planning regulations, and environmental or donor safeguard requirements.
- Prepare detailed architectural reports, as-built documentation, and technical documentation to support procurement and stakeholder reviews.
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) or Master of Science (MSc) degree in Architecture.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience in the architectural design and supervision of public works or industrial facilities.
- Mandatory registration with the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON) and active membership in the Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA).
- Demonstrated proficiency in industry-standard design software including AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp.
- Strong background in handling government, NGO-sponsored, or donor-funded infrastructure projects is highly advantageous.
