About the Role
The University of Benin (UNIBEN) is seeking a dynamic, dedicated, and professionally registered Architect II (CONTISS 08) to join our vibrant institution. As a key member of our physical planning and development team, you will contribute to shaping the architectural landscape of one of Nigeria's premier federal universities, ensuring modern, sustainable, and functional campus facilities for students and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation of architectural designs, working drawings, and 3D models for various university projects.
- Collaborate with engineers, quantity surveyors, and contractors during project planning and execution phases.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with architectural designs, building codes, and safety standards.
- Prepare comprehensive project reports, cost estimates, and tender documentation as required.
- Maintain up-to-date architectural documentation and records for all university properties and ongoing developments.
- A good honours degree not below Second Class (Lower Division) in Architecture or a related discipline, registerable with the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON).
- Alternatively, a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Architecture not below Lower Credit, registerable with ARCON.
- Mandatory possession of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) discharge or exemption certificate.
- Strong proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and relevant architectural tools.
- Good communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
