About the Role

We are seeking a talented Application Security Engineer to join our dynamic security team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a critical part in protecting our digital infrastructure, ensuring that our payment, banking, and credit tools remain secure, compliant, and resilient against emerging cyber threats.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive security assessments and penetration testing on web and mobile applications to identify and remediate vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate closely with software development teams to integrate secure coding practices and security controls throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Design, implement, and configure advanced security tools for continuous monitoring and threat analysis.
- Respond promptly to application security incidents, leading investigations and cross-functional resolutions.
- Ensure applications comply with relevant financial industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Develop and deliver engaging security training programs to elevate secure coding awareness among engineering teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Demonstrated professional experience in application security, vulnerability assessment, or penetration testing.
- In-depth understanding of web application architecture, cloud environments, and common security vulnerabilities such as the OWASP Top 10.
- Hands-on experience with automated and manual security testing tools and methodologies.
- Relevant professional certifications such as OSCP, CEH, GPEN, or CISSP are strongly preferred.
