About the Role

We are currently looking for a skilled Application Security Engineer to join our growing team in Nigeria. In this role, you will assess and strengthen the security posture of our web applications, mobile platforms, and backend services, ensuring that our products and our clients' assets remain resilient against evolving cyber threats.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive security assessments and authorized penetration testing on mobile applications, backend services, and APIs.
- Evaluate API security, focusing on authentication, authorization, access controls, input validation, and data exposure.
- Test for common application security risks, including the OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities, injection flaws, and broken access control.
- Identify, document, and rate vulnerabilities using methodologies like CVSS while preparing clear remediation reports.
- Collaborate closely with developers and infrastructure teams to validate findings, recommend fixes, and conduct retesting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrated experience in application security, vulnerability assessment, or penetration testing roles.
- Strong working knowledge of REST APIs, mobile security, and web application architecture.
- Proficiency with security testing tools such as Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, and Postman.
- Relevant certifications such as OSCP, GWAPT, or CEH are highly advantageous.
