About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Application Security Engineer to join our dynamic security team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in safeguarding our digital assets, ensuring that our payment, banking, and credit tools remain secure, compliant, and resilient against emerging cyber threats.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough security assessments and penetration testing on web and mobile applications to identify vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate secure coding practices and security controls throughout the application development lifecycle.
- Act as a key contributor in incident response activities, investigating and resolving application security incidents promptly.
- Ensure applications comply with relevant financial industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Manage, configure, and optimize security tools for continuous monitoring and threat analysis.
- Develop and deliver engaging security training programs to enhance awareness across engineering teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Proven professional experience as an Application Security Engineer or similar specialized role.
- In-depth knowledge of web application architecture, cloud environments, and common security vulnerabilities.
- Hands-on experience with security testing tools, automated scanning, and manual penetration testing methodologies.
- Relevant industry certifications such as OSCP, CEH, GPEN, or CISSP are strongly preferred.
