About the Role
Baker Hughes, a global leader in energy technology, is seeking a skilled Application Engineer specializing in Completions & Wellbore Intervention to join our dynamic team in West Africa. In this pivotal role, you will champion technical excellence, delivering flawless execution from pre-planning through to job completion and post-analysis. You will collaborate closely with Service Delivery Coordinators and cross-functional teams to ensure optimal application performance and adherence to safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities- Lead technical design, planning, and comprehensive job program developments for oilfield operations.
- Propose innovative technologies, equipment, and software while managing Deviation Waiver Requests and bridging documents.
- Identify operational optimizations, new technology applications, and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Schedule and lead rigorous pre-job planning reviews alongside multidisciplinary teams.
- Support incident management protocols and actively share lessons learned across the organization.
- Develop robust technical content for tender responses and participate in critical risk reviews.
- Compare planned versus executed job metrics to document insights and drive operational excellence.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of dedicated working experience as an Application Engineer in the energy sector.
- Extensive familiarity and hands-on expertise with fishing, wellbore cleanout, and wellbore interventions.
- Demonstrated experience and comfort with direct client interactions and stakeholder management.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, influencing, and strategic planning skills.
- Flexibility to travel to rig sites, customer facilities, and training venues as required, plus availability for on-call support.
