About the Role
Hampshire Heights Global Company Limited (HHGCL) is a prominent information technology and management consulting firm based in Lagos, Nigeria, specializing in artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and technical project management. We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Android Mobile Engineer to develop and support our flagship mobile banking application serving customers across Nigeria, with a primary focus on security, performance, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities- Design, build, and maintain advanced applications for the Android platform using Kotlin and Java.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features efficiently.
- Implement robust security measures including Android Keystore and Biometric Authentication to protect sensitive financial data.
- Integrate REST APIs and ensure seamless backend connectivity.
- Write unit tests to ensure code robustness, usability, and general reliability.
- Optimize application performance, reduce memory usage, and fix bugs.
- Proven experience developing Android applications using Kotlin, Java, Android SDK, and Jetpack Compose.
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, Git version control, and mobile security practices (Keystore, Biometric Authentication).
- BSc minimum Second Class Lower OR HND minimum Upper Credit.
- Completed NYSC discharge certificate.
- Experience with agent banking, USSD integration, Push Notifications, or Firebase is a strong advantage.
- Prior experience in banking, fintech, or other highly regulated environments is highly desirable.
- Must be available for 100% onsite work in our Lagos office.
