About the Role

We are currently seeking a skilled Analyst focused on Financial Institutions reporting to join our growing team in Lagos, Nigeria. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in evaluating credit risk and producing insightful research on banks, insurance companies, and non-bank financial institutions.
Key Responsibilities- Write in-depth, high-quality, and focused research on credit trends, including thought-leading reports on financial institutions, insurance, and non-bank financial institutions.
- Establish yourself as a recognized authority on your assigned portfolio of rated financial institutions and key industry players.
- Analyze and interpret complex financial statements with a solid understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Deliver timely and effective research addressing topical issues affecting Nigeria's financial services sector and broader economic drivers.
- Manage multiple analytical tasks concurrently while consistently meeting tight reporting deadlines.
- Strong academic background, equivalent to a Bachelor's degree (BSc) in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in credit analysis, risk assessment, or financial research within the financial services industry.
- Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CFA, or CIMA are highly advantageous.
- Comprehensive understanding of Nigeria's financial services regulatory environment and key market drivers.
- Exceptional quantitative aptitude, analytical skills, and outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
