About the Role
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Teaching Hospital (formerly Igbinedion University Teaching Hospital) in Okada, Edo State, is Nigeria's first private university teaching hospital. We are seeking experienced and compassionate Anaesthetic Nurses to join our dedicated perioperative team. Key Responsibilities- Assist anaesthetists in preparing patients for surgical procedures
- Monitor patient vital signs and anaesthetic depth throughout surgical operations
- Maintain anaesthetic equipment and ensure readiness for all procedures
- Prepare and manage anaesthetic agents and medications safely
- Provide post-operative care and recovery monitoring
- Maintain detailed records of anaesthetic procedures and patient responses
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols
- Support medical students and junior staff in a teaching hospital setting
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license from NURSING AND MIDWIFERY COUNCIL OF NIGERIA (NMCN)
- Post-basic certification in Anaesthetic Nursing or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in operating theatre or anaesthetic settings
- Strong knowledge of anaesthetic principles and perioperative care
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced surgical environments
