About the Role
The Tony Elumelu Foundation is the leading champion of entrepreneurship in Africa. Guided by our philosophy of Africapitalism, we empower African entrepreneurs to drive the continent's economic and social transformation. We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Alumni & Mentorship Officer to serve as the operational lead for our alumni engagement and mentorship programmes, ensuring our beneficiaries scale their businesses successfully post-funding.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain a centralized alumni database capturing profiles, business metrics, and engagement history across all 54 African countries.
- Track key metrics including revenue growth, job creation, and funding raised to assess alumni progress.
- Execute recruitment strategies to onboard high-quality global and African mentors.
- Implement the Alumni Engagement Strategy to foster connectivity, pride, and active participation.
- Plan and execute high-impact virtual and physical alumni events, masterclasses, and regional meetups.
- Engage regularly with Hub Leads across African countries and Nigerian states to support local activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field; a Master's degree is an added advantage.
- 4 to 7 years of experience in programme management, alumni relations, or mentorship coordination.
- Strong understanding of African entrepreneurial ecosystems and SME development.
