We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Airport Manager to lead, plan, and direct our airport operations in Nigeria, ensuring optimal team and service provider performance. In this high-profile role, you will oversee all passenger and aircraft handling operations while upholding our global standards for safety, security, quality, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Direct and oversee all passenger and aircraft handling operations on a management and shift basis, ensuring strict adherence to arrival and departure checklists, brand requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Actively participate in daily operations, including working shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required to deliver seamless local station performance.
- Manage safety and security outcomes through hazard identification, risk assessment, compliance monitoring, and prompt reporting.
- Ensure all flight editing and special guest requirements are met, including the coordination of VIP, MAAS, PRM, and special category passengers.
- Deliver, maintain, and rehearse station emergency response plans, disruption management, diversion handling, and business continuity strategies.
- Accountable for On-Time Performance (OTP), including the management, mitigation, and accurate reporting of flight delays.
- Drive airport ancillary sales performance, promotion, coordination, and process compliance.
- Monitor and report on customer service-related standards and performance against established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Perform the designated role of Local Security Contact Officer.
- Degree-level education is desirable (or A-level/baccalaureate equivalent) combined with relevant industry experience and demonstrable leadership skills.
- 7 to 9 years of relevant experience in a leadership or senior management capacity within the aviation or travel industry.
- Previous exposure to highly pressured, multicultural environments in a management or supervisory shift role.
- Proven ability to lead teams, drive measurable results, and communicate effectively across multiple channels and stakeholders.
- Regional or international aviation exposure is highly advantageous.
