About the Role
Elevation Professionals is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Agric Science Teacher to join a reputable educational institution on behalf of our client in Ipaja, Lagos. This role is ideal for an educator who is committed to nurturing students' understanding of agricultural science while promoting practical, hands-on learning experiences.
As an Agric Science Teacher, you will be responsible for developing lesson plans, delivering engaging classroom instruction, and guiding students through both theoretical and practical aspects of agricultural science. You will play a key role in inspiring students to appreciate the importance of agriculture in national development and everyday life.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver well-structured Agric Science lessons in line with the curriculum
- Organize practical demonstrations, farm visits, and hands-on agricultural activities
- Assess, monitor, and record students' academic progress and performance
- Develop instructional materials and resources to enhance learning outcomes
- Maintain a safe, organized, and conducive learning environment
- Encourage student participation in agricultural projects, competitions, and clubs
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support overall academic goals
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress
- Stay updated on modern agricultural practices and teaching methodologies
- A relevant degree or NCE in Agricultural Science or related field
- Proven teaching experience in Agric Science at secondary school level
- Strong knowledge of agricultural practices, crop and animal production, and farm management
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create engaging and practical learning experiences
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for teaching and mentoring students
- Must reside in Ipaja or nearby areas within Lagos
