About the Role
Rex Christus College Kubwa, a prestigious Catholic secondary school in Abuja, is recruiting an experienced Agriculture Science and Livestock Farming Teacher. Founded in 2010 by John Cardinal Onaiyekan, our institution is renowned for fostering academic excellence, technological proficiency, and strong moral character among our 400+ junior and senior secondary students.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver comprehensive Agriculture Science and Livestock Farming curricula aligned with Nigerian educational standards
- Create engaging lesson plans that combine theoretical knowledge with practical farming applications
- Conduct practical demonstrations and supervised farm activities to enhance student understanding
- Assess student progress through examinations, assignments, and practical evaluations
- Mentor students in sustainable agricultural practices and modern farming techniques
- Contribute to the development of school farm projects and extracurricular agricultural clubs
- Maintain detailed records of student performance and provide constructive feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate agricultural science into broader curriculum initiatives
- Bachelor's degree in Education (B.Ed, NCE, PGDE, or equivalent qualification)
- Specialization in Agriculture Science or Livestock Farming
- Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) registration is highly desirable
- Proven teaching experience in secondary school settings
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian agricultural practices and livestock management
